BRADLEY, IL – Get ready for a sensational extravaganza as the Strawberry Jazz Fest returns to town, combining the vibrant allure of strawberries with the soulful melodies of jazz. 

Sunday, the highly anticipated event promises an unforgettable experience for all who attend. With free admission, free parking, and free entertainment, the festival offers a thrilling day of fun for the whole family.

Prepare to be captivated by over 100 artists and crafters showcasing their talents throughout the former Carsons store and various locations within the mall. Discover an array of one-of-a-kind, affordable treasures, including stunning art, exquisite jewelry, captivating photography, charming pottery, elegant stained glass, unique mixed media creations, cozy handmade textiles, delightful candles and lotions, and masterfully crafted furniture and woodworking pieces.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there! Engage with local authors and immerse yourself in their captivating new storylines. Don’t miss the opportunity to vote and bid on your favorite whimsically hand-painted bench at the Merchant Street Art Gallery’s lively auction. 

Explore the booths of local non-profit organizations, where you can learn about their vital services and upcoming events. And be sure to drop by the Friends of the Kankakee Public Library book sale at center court for a chance to snag some literary treasures.

Children will have a chance to unleash their creativity in the Kids’ Zone, nestled within the former Carsons building. The BBCHS Ironclad Robotics team, Wild Style face painting, exciting games, and engaging art and craft activities await young attendees. Plus, there’s a new addition this year – the MilliporeSigma’s mobile science lab, the Curiosity Cube, located near the outdoor dime toss, promises to ignite curiosity and wonder.

Strawberry lovers, rejoice! The Community Arts Council booth will be overflowing with succulent strawberries, and keep an eye out for our volunteers who will be wandering the mall with a limited supply of delectable chocolate-covered strawberries.

For food enthusiasts, an array of mouthwatering options awaits at the festival’s 13 food trucks. Savor the flavors of summer favorites while indulging in specialty strawberry delights like heavenly pies, scrumptious shortcakes, and refreshing ice cream treats.

The pulse of the festival resides in the North Hallway® (Food Court) of Northfield Square Mall. Starting tomorrow, prepare to be enthralled by a fantastic lineup of live entertainment:

  • 11:00 – 11:45: Brass Monkeys
  • 12:00 – 12:45: Dance in the Light
  • 1:00 – 1:30: CAC Scholarship Winners
  • 1:45 – 2:30: Bourbonnais Upper Grade School Jazz Band
  • 3:30 – 4:00: Wilmington High Theater Dept
