Illinois 4-H Offers Chance to Sing National Anthem at State Fair

URBANA-CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Are you ready to showcase your vocal talent on a grand stage? 

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Extension is giving members of the Illinois 4-H program an incredible opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the State Fair this August.

To be in the running, all you need to do is visit the Illinois 4-H website and sign up. Then, submit your information along with a 30-60 second singing audition clip through the provided link: go.illinois.edu/StateFairAnthem. But remember, the deadline for submissions is June 15, 2023.

A panel of judges will carefully evaluate the submissions and announce the winner the following week. The lucky vocalist will have the chance to represent Illinois 4-H by performing the National Anthem at the State Fair, which requires being available on the morning of August 10th, 2023, and arranging transportation to the State Fair Grounds in Springfield. More specific timing details will be shared later.
