Harry Potter author JK Rowling announced today she will be releasing her new children’s book, The Ickabog, online for free.
Rowling says she wants to help children stay entertained during the pandemic. The author says “The Ickabog will be traditionally published as well in November.
Up until a few weeks ago, the old manuscript for the fairy tale had been sitting up in her attic until Rowling decided to re-draft it. The author is asking fans to illustrate the book for her. Fans have already begun submitting entries via Twitter.
All royalties from the book will go to aid projects and organizations most impacted by coronavirus.
