WOODRIDGE, IL – An elderly man was mistaken for a potential threat after his guitar was confused for a rifle.

Police responded to a call about a lone vehicle in the parking lot of Castaldo Park early Saturday morning, where a driver reported seeing what looked like the barrel of a rifle pointing out of the window.

After approaching the vehicle with caution, officers found the man playing his guitar.

The man was not charged with any wrongdoing.
