School Bus carrying 25 students involved in hit-and-run in Bolingbrook Tuesday

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. — A car accident involving a school bus with 25 students onboard was reported on Tuesday afternoon in Bolingbrook. 

The incident occurred at the intersection of Rt. 53 and Briarcliff. The school bus sustained minor damage, with possible injuries reported to some of the bus’s passengers.

The bus was relocated for a time to a nearby White Castle parking lot while investigators responded to the scene. The identity of the driver and description of the vehicle responsible for the accident is unknown, and it is currently under investigation. 

Officials are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.
