The Iroquois County Fair has been canceled.

The Fair was originally scheduled to take place July 15th to the 20th this year.  It’s been rescheduled for 2021 and will take place July 20th to the 25th.

“Your safety lies heavily on our minds, and is the first and utmost reason we have reached this decision,” the Fair Board said in a news release this week.

The Fair has been held annually since 1961 at the Iroquois County Fairgrounds in Crescent City.

While the Fair will not take place this year, a virtual 4-H kids show will take place through the extensions office. So far, 22 other Counties including Dupage and Ford in Illinois have either canceled or postponed their annual State Fair for 2020 due to novel coronavirus.
