The Kankakee County Coroner’s Office released a number of statistics surrounding deaths in Kankakee County this afternoon, including victim’s ages and residents of death.

“Please note, anyone who dies in a Kankakee County healthcare facility is by law considered a Kankakee County death. The Illinois Department of Public Health and Kankakee County Health Department do not track deaths in the same manner,” said the Coroner’s office in a statement released Friday afternoon.

No deaths had been reported as of Friday afternoon in Bradley, Aroma Park, Cabery, Chebanse, Essex, Grant Park, Herscher, Pembroke Township and Reddick.

Among the top reporting locations of residence deaths include Kankakee with 15 deaths, Bourbonnais with 5 and Manteno with 2.  In age groups, ages 80-89 lead the way with 14, with 90-99 reporting 4 for second.  Those ages also fall into long term care facility age brackets.
