KANKAKEE – The new license plate sticker program at the Kankakee Library has already proven to be quite popular.

The Library announced last week it had run out of stickers for the program just two days after it began.  Library officials say more stickers have already been ordered and are expected to arrive soon and will post on their Facebook when they arrive.

The service is designed to be available daily from library opening to a half hour before closing, according to the library website. To renew, you must bring your valid ID and your state-issued renewal postcard, or your ID, VIN and the expiration date of your current sticker.

It takes a few minute to complete on the library’s third floor.  Cash or credit card is accepted. There is also a $5 processing fee.
