KANKAKEE, Ill. – Riverside Medical Center has announced extended visiting hours this week to allow patients to receive more support from their loved ones. The new guidelines permit visitors from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily, providing an additional two hours of visiting time.

The guidelines also permit up to four visitors at a time and up to two visitors for overnight stays. Masks are optional for visitors, except for patients with specific medical conditions.

The goal of the extended visiting hours is to promote healing and support patients during their stay at the hospital. Riverside Medical Center recognizes that patients are more likely to recover if they are surrounded by their loved ones. Visitors are encouraged to follow the guidelines to ensure the safety of all patients, staff, and visitors.
