Illinois sees 982 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, Statewide death rate declines

Illinois Department of Public Health announced 982 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, including 97 deaths.

To date, statewide COVID-19 cases now stand at 123,830 cases and 5,621 deaths across all but one of Illinois’ 102 counties.

The statewide rolling 7 day positivity rate now stands at 6%.  In the past 24 hours, 24,471 tests were collected bringing the state total to date to 959,175 since March.
