Lodge Con is a two-day Gamer and Geek Community convention held in early February each year. Our event hosts space for Vendors, Seminars, Panels, Work Shops, Cosplay, Special Guests, and or course Table Top Gaming. Lodge Cons sets a very family-friendly atmosphere so all members of a family can attend and enjoy the show together.
Our Vendor Hall has the capacity to accommodate forty, ten by ten, booth spaces, most of which are already reserved for our returning vendors. We encourage and seek out unique crafters, authors, artists, game stores, game companies, and collectibles such as Pop Funko, comics, and toy vendors to attend our show. We travel each year to conventions across the Midwest to find the best vendors possible for our event.
The Seminar Hall is capable of hosting seminars, performances, and workshops. Our fully equipped main stage can easily convert for the needs of our varied speakers and hosts. Additionally, we have our Performance stage set aside for performers such as The Klingon Pop Warrior & Dan the Bard who have attended in years past.
Special guests who have attended in previous years have ranged from Author Jean Rabe, Art Maurer Director of the Herbert Trackman Planetarium, The Illinois Storm Chaser, Poppa-Bear Cosplay, HDC Cosplay, Dan the Bard, Klingon Pop Warrior, The Geek Awakens Podcast, The Crit Show Podcast, to Wesley Sun of Sun Bros Studious, all of which who have contributed by either hosting panels, seminars, workshops, or performances at our event.
In the Gaming Hall, one can find card, miniature, board, and role-playing games that fill experience levels from beginner to seasoned veterans. We are fortunate enough to be located in the middle of nowhere which is close enough to draw players from as far north as Chicago to as far south as Champaign and all the places in between who regularly attend our event. In the last two years we have also drawn players from Indiana, Wisconsin, and Ohio who travel for the fun of our show.
Wanting to further grow and support our 2020 show and to “do good” for our community, we have official joined with Extra Life, Chicago chapter, as our charitable partner to assist with the growing needs of our event. Our partnership comes with increased benefits that we as an organization needed, we are also fundraising for Extra Life at our show. For more information about Extra Life https://www.extra-life.org/
Join us in 2020 to help celebrate 5 years of our show!
