Palos Park, Illinois – The Palos Park Police Department has issued a warning about a new phone scam targeting residents.

Scammers, posing as pharmacy representatives, use publicly available information to gain trust, attempting to obtain sensitive personal details such as date of birth and social security numbers. The department advises residents to be vigilant and not to provide personal information over the phone unless they initiated the call.

This precautionary measure helps ensure that individuals are communicating with legitimate entities. The police emphasize the importance of confirming the identity of callers, especially when discussing private information.
