Glen Ellyn, IL – Cook County Sheriff’s Police are actively investigating an attempted child abduction in Glen Ellyn, reported last Wednesday.

Reports say a 9-year-old girl was approached by a bald male suspect in a white vehicle, following her school bus drop-off. Claiming to be her uncle, the suspect urged her to enter his vehicle. Speaking Spanish, he attempted to persuade her, but the girl quickly ran home to alert her mother. Authorities are now canvassing the area and seeking witnesses to further their ongoing investigation.

The community is reminded to educate children about stranger safety, emphasizing the importance of ‘Yell & Tell’ in uncomfortable situations.
