3 Chicago Football Players Elected into HOF including Bears, Cardinals

Frederick Wayman "Duke" Slater, a member of the Chicago Cardinals from 1926-1931 was one of the first African American lineman in the NFL. Slater is regarded as a hugely important figure in the evolution of the social integration of the game during the early twentieth century. Slater was enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame in 1951. He played college football at the University of Iowa and attended the University of Iowa College of Law and earned his law degree in 1928.

Village Partners with Community on Campus Plan

The survey has been developed to provide community members with an initial opportunity to share their thoughts and opinions on what they would like to see as part of future improvements. It should take approximately ten minutes to complete and will be available for two weeks. There will be additional opportunities through open house events and a second online survey to vote on plan concepts derived from these engagements.
