ATV Crash in Kankakee County: Multiple Children Ejected

Kankakee County, IL — A devastating ATV accident has shaken Kankakee County, resulting in several children reportedly being ejected and injured. 

According to scanner reports the incident unfolded Sunday around 4:20 pm near N 8000 W Rd and W 4000 N Rd. The ATV collision led to the ejection of multiple young occupants from the four-wheeler.  Details behind the collision itself are limited at this time.

Limestone Fire, Salina Fire, and Riverside Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene. Details behind the incident have not been released or the current conditions of the young riders.  Local authorities are advising residents to steer clear of the area to facilitate the ongoing emergency operations.

The cause behind the crash is presently under investigation.
