BOURBONNAIS, IL – The tranquil neighborhood of Belle Aire has been buzzing with activity as police presence increases following a series of break-ins. Worried residents took to the Neighbors app to share their concerns and gather information about the ongoing investigations.

Reports indicate that law enforcement officers have been spotted Thursday night in the 200 block of Belle Aire, combing the area with flashlights.

Speculation arose when a resident claimed to have heard suspicious noises coming from their backyard just minutes before the police arrived.

Adding to the anxiety, one resident shared that their neighbors experienced a break-in two days in a row.

A suspect has been described as an individual wearing a black hoodie and black pants adorned with an Adidas stripe. However, residents are hoping for a more detailed description to aid the ongoing investigation.

Residents are now questioning whether the same house was targeted twice or if multiple homes have fallen victim to these incidents. The frequency of these break-ins has left some concerned about the possibility of deliberate targeting.

Bourbonnais Police have yet to issue a statement on the incident, however local authorities always urge residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities immediately. Residents are advised to secure their homes, install security systems, and look out for their neighbors.

Stay tuned for further updates on this developing
