BRADLEY, IL – A bizarre incident occurred on Tuesday in Bradley when a man accused of retail theft left the scene of the crime on a bicycle.

The suspect, 54-year-old Barron Garnett of Kankakee, allegedly ditched the bike, jumped over a fence, and entered a homeowner’s garage.

What followed was an unusual turn of events as Garnett emerged from the garage some three hours later allegedly wearing the clothing of the homeowner. He was subsequently arrested and charged with residential burglary, retail theft, along with criminal trespassing.

Garnett was transported to the Jerome Combs Detention Center in Kankakee and later issued a $250,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Bradley Police Department.
