PERU, IN – An Indiana woman has found herself in the headlines after a DUI arrest that involved her having to literally “blow.”
Courtney Blow, 29 of Peru, was taken into custody by Indiana State Police over the weekend following a drunk driving incident that took place at the intersection of US. 31 and Blair Pike.
According to police reports, Blow was driving a 2017 KIA when she allegedly collided with a utility pole and left the scene. Authorities responded swiftly, locating Blow near U.S. 31 and a county road, where she was subjected to a breathalyzer test to determine her blood alcohol concentration (BrAC).
State Police report Blow failed field sobriety tests with a BrAC of .263. Adding to the gravity of the situation, a 3-year-old child was found in the backseat of Blow’s vehicle. The Department of Child Services was alerted, and the child was later released to a family member.
Blow now faces a series of charges, including operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a passenger under 18 years of age, neglect of a dependent, and leaving the scene of a crash.
