Kankakee, IL – 13-Year-Old Boy Shot at Home

Kankakee, IL – A 13-year-old boy was shot Wednesday night while at his home on South Rosewood Avenue.

According to the City of Kankakee Police Department, officers were dispatched to an area hospital around 9:18 p.m. for a report of a gunshot victim. The boy, who sustained a non-life-threatening injury, was transported by his parents. He was cooperative with police but could not provide a suspect description. Authorities processed the scene at the victim’s residence and are continuing the investigation.
