Kankakee Police report man shot in front of residence Sunday afternoon

KANKAKEE – Kankakee Police report a man was shot early Sunday afternoon in the 1300 block of East Maple Street. 

The incident occurred shortly after 12:30 pm Sunday afternoon. 

Upon arrival, officers found a man shot in his upper body.  Witnesses to the events say a man had approached the front of the victim’s residents before shooting and shot the victim before fleeing on foot.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Kankakee PD at 815-933-3312 or CrimeStoppers at 815-932-7463.
