Frankfort to Host Mesmerizing Drone Light Show for Once-in-a-Century Celebration

FRANKFORT, IL – Next Sunday, Frankfort will host a day of festivities to celebrate a unique occurrence that happens just once in a century. 

The date corresponds with Frankfort’s ZIP Code, 60423, or 6-04-23. The Village, in partnership with local organizations, has planned a free, community-wide event at Breidert Green in downtown Frankfort. 

The celebration will kick off at 9 AM with the Country Market, offering a variety of goods and products. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy family-friendly games, entertainment, arts and crafts, and even participate in a bean bag tournament.

One of the highlights of the event will be a spectacular drone show, a first-of-its-kind in the south suburbs. At around 8:45 PM, spectators will gather at or near Breidert Green to witness an elaborate aerial display featuring 100 illuminated drones synchronized to music. This mesmerizing showcase promises to be a visual treat for all.

  • 9 AM: Country Market opens, showcasing a diverse range of vendors.
  • 9 AM – 4 PM: Engage in family-friendly activities, including games, arts and crafts, and a bean bag tournament.
  • 6:04:23 PM: Residents of the 60423 ZIP Code are encouraged to assemble at Breidert Green for a community photo.
  • 8:45 PM: Spectators gather for the grand finale drone show, featuring 100 flying illuminated drones synchronized to music.
