Illinois Woman Found Dead at Starved Rock State Park Identified by Coroner

CHICAGO, IL – Authorities have identified the woman found dead at Starved Rock State Park as 20-year-old Gabriella J. Paulsen of Addison, Illinois. 

Her body was discovered by hikers on April 4th at the bottom of Wildcat Canyon.

LaSalle County Coroner Richard Ploch reports that Paulsen died of injuries sustained in a fall, and no foul play is suspected. Paulsen’s death remains under investigation by Illinois Conservation Police Department.

Starved Rock State Park is a popular destination for hiking and outdoor activities, covering over 2,600 acres and offering stunning views of canyons, waterfalls, and forests.
