Man dead after fatal bicycle-pedestrian accident on Illinois campus

NORMAL – A man has died after he was hit by a bicycle while walking on the campus of Illinois State University.

According to ISU Police and the McLean County Coroner, 49-year-old Adam E. Peck died at 11:03 a.m Friday, days after being hit by the bike on ISU’s campus Monday night.

Police report Peck was hit just before 5:30 p.m. while walking along South University Street.  Peck sustained critical injuries in the accident, although details of the injuries were not released.

An autopsy into the fatal accident is pending and the incident remains under investigation with police.
