Wilmington Police Department’s First Ever Cop on a Rooftop Event for Special Olympics

DIAMOND, IL – The Wilmington Police Department is gearing up for their very first Cop on a Rooftop event, and they’re pulling out all the stops to make it a memorable one. On May 19 from 5:00a-12:00p, officers will be perched atop the Dunkin’ Donuts in Diamond, IL, to raise funds for Special Olympics Illinois.

The event promises to be a fun-filled affair with plenty of exciting activities. Visitors can meet and greet with Wilmington’s finest officers, buy event-exclusive shirts, hats, and mugs, and donate to a worthy cause. With a donation of $10 or more, supporters will receive a Torch Run Mug and a coupon for a free medium hot coffee, while all other donations will get a free donut.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Special Olympics Illinois, a nonprofit organization that provides sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
