Bourbonnais Fire warns of scam emails

BOURBONNAIS – Fire officials are warning residents of an e-mail scams circulating in the area.

According to Bourbonnais Fire Protection District officials, emails have begun appearing locally claiming residents owe an outstanding balance with Bourbonnais Fire.

“Bourbonnais Fire Protection District DOES NOT email collection notices or outstanding invoices.” The Department said Wednesday. “Bourbonnais Fire also DOES NOT accept credit card payments over the phone. Bourbonnais Fire ONLY partners with Andres Medical Billing, Fire Recovery USA & Northwest Collections for our billing. If you receive an email requesting payment please do not respond.  If you have any questions please call us at 815-935-9670”
