BOURBONNAIS, IL – The community came together on Monday to support a local hero at Culver’s of Bourbonnais.

The fast-food restaurant held a fundraiser for Sergeant Tyler Bailey, a Bradley police officer who was critically injured while on duty in December 2021.

Culver’s of Bourbonnais donated 25% of all sales made May 8th to the Bailey family, resulting in a total of $3,600 raised. The event, named “Make Your Meal Matter Monday,” encouraged customers to support Bailey and his family.

“Culver’s support of Officer Tyler Bailey is just part of our dedication to giving back to the community. We are proud to call Bourbonnais home, and doing our part to help our community just feels right. We strive to make a difference in any way that we can, and we are blessed to be able to help support a local hero,” said Rachel Vandergriff, the General Manager of Culver’s of Bourbonnais.

The fundraiser is a significant effort to support Bailey, who has been hailed as a hero for his bravery in the line of duty. Bailey’s partner, Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic, lost her life in the line of duty that day.
