Lowell Athletic Business Reopens after Vehicle Crash Injures Four

LOWELL, IN – A van crashed into an athletic business Tuesday afternoon around 2pm, injuring four people. 

According to Lowell Fire Department officials, two people were taken to the hospital, while two others were treated on-site and released. The gym was closed for several hours due to the incident. Details on the severity of injuries were not released.

Upon arrival, first responders believed a person was trapped under the vehicle.  After teams searched the area no victim was discovered under it.

Anytime Fitness at 1920 E Commercial Ave had to close its doors temporarily but resumed operations at 6 pm following the accident. The gym has since advised its members and guests to resume their workouts at their usual location in Lowell.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
