Two-Car Crash in Indiana Leaves Two Injured on Sunday Afternoon

LAKE VILLAGE, IN – A two-car crash Sunday afternoon resulted in injuries to two individuals. The incident occurred at the intersection of SR 10 and CR 300 W, and was responded to by the Newton County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Deputy Sanders’ preliminary investigation, a Dodge pickup truck driven by a 62-year-old man from Shelby, IN was traveling westbound on SR 10, when a Kia passenger car driven by a 51-year-old woman from Saint John, IN failed to stop at the intersection on CR 300 W. The Dodge struck the driver’s side of the Kia, causing both vehicles to come to a stop.

The male driver of the Dodge was transported to a nearby hospital for complaints of pain. The female driver and female passenger of the Kia were also transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Assisting agencies including Newton County 9-1-1 Communications, Newton County EMS, and Lake Village Fire Department were present at the scene to provide support.
