Man struck, killed by train in Mokena

MOKENA – An Orland Park man is dead after being struck by a train late Wednesday night.

According to Metra Police Department, it happened sometime around 8:25 p.m. when 53-year-old John Greenan, identify by the Will County Coroner Thursday, was near the tracks 1/2 mile northeast of 191st Street in Mokena.

The cause of Mr. Greenan’s death is still under investigation pending autopsy, police, and toxicological reports.
