Man in Critical Condition after being stabbed near Gas Station

JOLIET – A unidentified 59-year-old man is in critical condition after being stabbed in the chest near a gas station.

According to Joliet Police, it happened Monday night just around 7:45. A man entered a Murphy Express at 2504 Jefferson Street telling an employee he had been stabbed in the chest.  Emergency crews arrived shortly after and transported him to a nearby hospital.  He remains in critical condition.
