Rockford, IL – Rockford Fire Responds to House Fire, Two Displaced

Rockford, IL – At approximately 6:20 p.m. on Sunday, Rockford Fire Department units rushed to a reported residential structure fire on the 1200 block of Lundvall Avenue. 

According to the department, the first responders encountered flames on the second floor of the building. Swift action by the firefighters successfully contained the blaze to a single room. Although the fire resulted in the displacement of two residents, there were fortunately no injuries reported. 

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
