Kankakee River State Park selected as top fall trout fishing spot in Illinois

KANKAKEE – The Kankakee River has been selected by FishingBooker.com as a top fall trout fishing spot in Illinois, making the list of just eight locations from around the state.

Each season the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) stocks ponds and streams across the state with fully-grown Rainbow Trout, with early catch and release hitting some waters across the state beginning October 16th

Other spots selected in this year’s list include the Kickapoo State Recreation Area in Vermilion County and Silver Springs State Fish and Wildlife Area in Kendal County.
