Man airlifted to Illinois hospital after crash on U.S. 41 Kentland this weekend

NEWTON COUNTY – A man was airlifted to an Illinois hospital after a Semi and SUV collided near Princeton Parkway on U.S. Route 41 in Kentland on Saturday.  

According to Newton County Sheriff’s reports, the Semi driven by 76-year-old Joseph Shouse of Kentland was traveling northbound on US 41 attempting to move into the left lane near Princeton Parkway when a 2007 GMC Yukon driven by 25-year-old Michael Noah Guebara of Rosewell, New Mexico struck the rear of the semi. 

Shouse had reported used his turn signal and slowed to make the exchange before the crash.

Guebara was extracted from his vehicle by Kentland Fire Department and flow to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for treatment.
