New Lenox Firefighters to Host 5th Annual Trap Shoot Fundraiser

NEW LENOX, IL – The New Lenox Professional Firefighters Local 5097 is gearing up for their highly anticipated 5th Annual Trap Shoot fundraiser. The event will be held at the South Wilmington Sportsman Club Trap Range, located at 42628 County Line Road, Essex, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Participants can expect a day filled with excitement as they test their shooting skills in support of a good cause. Registration for the event is priced at $100, with a deadline of August 4th. 

This fee includes entry to the event, unlimited shooting, a chance to win a Browning Citori shotgun in the raffle, and a delicious lunch catered by “Smoke Eater’s BBQ.” General admission tickets are available for $10, which also includes lunch. Participants under 16 years old can enter for free when accompanied by an adult.

The highlight of the event will be the Browning Citori Crossover gun raffle, with the lucky winner responsible for transfer fees. Additionally, there will be other raffles and competitions throughout the day, including the popular 52 Card Gun Raffles.

Not only is this event a thrilling experience for participants, but it also supports a worthy cause. The New Lenox Professional Firefighters Local 5097 has pledged to donate 10% of the proceeds to Project Fire Buddies, a charitable organization that provides support to children affected by fire incidents.
