Manteno, IL – Local community honors veterans with outreach and sustenance.

In an effort to support those who have served, the Veterans’ Home at Manteno is hosting a Volunteer Fair under the banner of Operation Camaraderie. Set for April 26, from 10 AM to 2 PM, the event will showcase various volunteer opportunities to aid veterans, ranging from transportation services to social events.

Attendees can enjoy an assortment of local flavors, as food trucks like Zarates Tacos, Candy & Cake, and Hopps & Scotch will offer their culinary delights. The fair, endorsed by the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs, is a call to action for community members to give back to those who have dedicated their lives to serving the nation. For more information, contact Becky Wilder here.
