Livingston County, IL – Early Morning Truck Stop Shooting Hospitalizes One

Dwight, IL – An early morning altercation at the Love’s Truck Stop escalated into gunfire, leaving one individual hospitalized Thursday. 

The Dwight Police Department reported that the incident occurred just before 3 AM when an argument between two parties in the parking lot turned violent, resulting in one person being shot in the leg. The victim was rushed to Morris Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Officials have declared the shooting an isolated incident, with investigations ongoing. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including Illinois State Police, are now assisting in the investigation.
