Elmhurst, IL – The Elmhurst Police Department is urgently seeking public assistance following a bank robbery that transpired at the US Bank located at the bustling intersection of York and Vallette Streets.Â
According to police reports the incident, which occurred just before noon Saturday, saw a male suspect, described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a black mask, entered the bank, confronting a teller with demands for cash.
Witnesses report the suspect did not brandish a weapon but subtly indicated its presence, heightening the tension of the encounter. Despite the implied threat, there were no physical injuries reported. The perpetrator’s escape was swift, leaving the scene in an unknown direction and sparking an immediate response from the Elmhurst Police.
