Indiana Plane Crash: Two Fatalities Reported in Elkhart County, FAA Investigation Underway

Elkhart, IN – A tragic plane crash in Elkhart County claimed the lives of two individuals on Tuesday afternoon. 

The incident occurred around 2:20 p.m. in a wooded area of Bristol, located in the 52000 block of County Road 21. Responding officers discovered a small fixed-wing aircraft with severe damages. According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, preliminary findings indicate that both occupants of the aircraft perished at the scene. 

The investigation is ongoing, with assistance from the Elkhart County Coroner’s Office, Bristol Police and Fire Departments, as well as federal agencies including the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
