Motorcycle Crash on US 20 Claims Life of Elkhart Man

Elkhart, IN – An Elkhart man tragically lost his life after his motorcycle collided with the rear of a vehicle on U.S. 20. 

The incident occurred near County Road 115 at approximately 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, 45-year-old Jason Salyers was eastbound when his Kawasaki ZX1 motorcycle struck the back of a Subaru. 

Salyers was ejected from his bike, sustaining fatal injuries and dying at the scene. The driver of the Subaru, a 36-year-old Elkhart woman, was unharmed. Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash to determine contributing factors.
