Indiana Man Arrested in Major ICAC Operation: Details Inside

HAMMOND, IN – Lawrence Christopher Taylor, a 60-year-old Hammond resident, was arrested on serious allegations October 3, 2023, following an extensive investigation led by the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. 

The operation stemmed from multiple cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children linked to a Verizon Wireless number. Taylor was reportedly discovered with child sexual abuse materials (CSAM) and now faces multiple charges, including Level 5 and Level 6 Felony Child Exploitation. With collaborative efforts from various departments, including Homeland Security, the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office may consider additional charges.
