Bradley, IL – In response to the anticipated severe weather conditions, Bradley Elementary School District #61 has announced an early dismissal for its schools on Friday, January 12, 2024. This decision, prioritizing student safety, is due to the forecast of snow, freezing rain, and strong winds.
According to the district’s announcement, Bradley Central will dismiss at 1:30 pm, Bradley East at 2:00 pm, and Bradley West at 2:30 pm. PreK (PM) students are scheduled to have a virtual session with their teachers. Parents will receive further details from classroom teachers.
The district assures that all students will be served lunch before dismissal. The status of after-school activities including games and practices will be communicated separately.
Furthermore, the school district is prepared to switch to e-learning on Friday if the weather conditions worsen overnight. Any such decision will be communicated via school messenger, the district’s website, and Facebook before 5:30 am.
The district remains vigilant and will continue to monitor the weather for the following week.
Dr. Goselin from the Bradley Elementary School District extends thanks to all for their understanding and cooperation during these challenging weather conditions.
