MINOOKA, IL — A catastrophic collision between a car and a semi-truck Wednesday night at N Grove Rd and E Sherrill Rd in Minooka has resulted in one fatality and left another person critically injured.
Minooka Fire Protection District responded to the crash sometime around 7:00 PM, saw a car devastatingly pinned under the semi. Lifestar medical helicopter was called in following the crash. Authorities have advised avoiding the area as investigations proceed. The Grundy County Coroner has been requested at the scene.
The identities of the victims along with details surrounding the wreck have yet to be released. Further details are pending as the investigation unfolds.
