Early Dismissal Friday at Bishop McNamara Schools in Kankakee, IL Due to Severe Weather Forecast

Kankakee, IL – Bishop McNamara Catholic Schools in Kankakee County, Illinois, have announced an early dismissal for Friday, January 12th, in anticipation of challenging weather conditions including snow, rain, and wind. 

This decision affects all its campuses, including those in Bradley, Bourbonnais, and Kankakee, prioritizing student safety.

The school’s schedule for early dismissal is as follows: Bradley and Bourbonnais Pre-K to 5th-grade sites at 1:00 p.m., High School at the Kankakee site at 1:15 p.m., and the Junior High at the Kankakee site at 1:30 p.m. It’s also confirmed that all students will have a lunch period at school before they leave.

Further updates on the weather situation will be monitored and communicated to parents via FACTS and social media. The school emphasizes that further communication will only occur if there are changes to the current plan.
