Woodstock, Illinois – The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is offering free Snowmobile Safety Courses for Illinois residents.

These classes are essential for residents aged 12-16 and those without a valid driver’s license, as they are required to complete a safety course to operate snowmobiles in Illinois. The courses cover a range of topics, including safe operation, snowmobile laws, first aid, and proper riding techniques. The classes are scheduled for November 18, December 16, and January 20, 2024, and will be held at the Sheriff’s Office in Woodstock.

Interested individuals can register online at the McHenry County Sheriff’s website. This initiative is part of the McHenry County Snowmobile Association’s efforts to promote safety and responsible snowmobiling.
