Illinois Retail Theft: Duffel Bags Filled with Cosmetics Stolen, Manager Threatened

Oak Park, IL – Duffel bags packed with a wide range of cosmetics were stolen in a daring act of retail theft at the Jewel-Osco Saturday afternoon.

According to Oak Park Police, it happened around 4:45 p.m. when two unidentified individuals entered the store at 7036 W. Roosevelt Road, filling multiple duffle bags with cosmetics.  The pair reportedly made a verbal threats to the store manager who confronted them during the episode before fleeing in a maroon van. 

The exact loss of inventory has yet to be determined.

Police are actively investigating, reviewing surveillance footage, and seeking leads. Any residents with information on the theft are urged to contact officers in an effort to aid the investigation.
