Indiana Community Shaken after Dead Body Found by Neighbor on Walking Trail

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, IN – A peaceful morning turned grim when a walker found a body along a well-trodden path near the Darden Road bridge on Monday. 

According to St. Joseph County Police, deputies were alerted and arrived at the scene around 7 a.m. Detectives are piecing together clues after the unsettling find, which has sparked a wave of concern among local residents. The identity of the deceased has not been released at this time pending notification of next of kin.  A pending autopsy is slated to uncover the cause of death within the coming days.
