LOWELL, IL – The Lowell Police Department is actively investigating a road rage shooting incident that occurred on December 15, 2023, on Interstate 85 near exit 22.
Two juveniles reported being victims of the shooting, which stemmed from a confrontation with an unknown suspect. The incident led to one of the juveniles sustaining a shoulder injury. Authorities were alerted after the victims reached Caromont Regional Medical Center.
Lowell Police Department is seeking information from anyone near I-85 exit 22 around 7:00 PM on the day of the incident.
