Indianapolis, IN – As winter scenes fade away, a familiar challenge arises on Indiana’s roads. The Indiana State Police reports a significant increase in potholes on major highways including the Indiana Toll Road, I-65, and I-94.

According to maintenance teams from the Indiana Department of Transportation: Northwest, efforts are underway to repair these road hazards, which are typical in post-winter months.

The fluctuating temperatures have taken a toll on both state highways and local roads, making driving conditions precarious. Indiana State Police urge motorists experiencing flat tires due to potholes to pull off the road safely before calling for service.

For those changing tires on their own, it’s advised to use hazard lights and ensure there’s ample space for safety.
