The Quad Cities National Weather Service reports that the warm trend will continue through the week. Highs are expected to climb into the 80s and lower 90s by late week and into the weekend. There is a slight risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe storms Thursday afternoon into the night, with the main threat being damaging winds.
For the weekend, Friday’s highs will range from 81 to 90 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Saturday will see partly to mostly sunny conditions with highs between 80 and 89 degrees and a 20-30% chance of showers in the northwest. Father’s Day on Sunday will be warm and hot, with temperatures ranging from 86 to 93 degrees and a slight chance of showers and storms in the northwest.
