Joliet, IL – Mysterious Fire Erupts in Vacant Room at Fenton Motel

Joliet, IL – A mysterious fire broke out in an unoccupied room at the Fenton Motel, located at 2305 West Jefferson Street, early this morning. 

According to the Joliet Fire Department, they received reports of a structure fire just before 9 AM. The first responders arrived within two minutes, encountering smoke and flames emanating from the motel room entrance. Firefighters employed multiple hose lines for interior suppression, successfully extinguishing the blaze that caused extensive damage to the room.

Thankfully, the room was empty at the fire’s onset, and there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
